Life isn't always fair.

And this election year in Chattanooga is a perfect example.

City Council Districts 8 and 9 have a wealth of good candidates this year, and if life was fair, all seven candidates seeking office or re-election would find themselves leading our city after the March 7 election.

In all honesty, this page could endorse each one of the three candidates running in District 8 and all four running in District 9.

Maybe we could ask some of these candidates to move (please read a wink and a smile, here.) But that's no more realistic than pointing fingers at life.

What is realistic is asking these truly wonderful candidates who do not get elected to the Chattanooga City Council to be willing to offer themselves again for public service somewhere else in our city, county and state - soon. Please.
