Tennessee CapitolNASHVILLE -- Senators today approved a bill quashing cities and counties' bans on handgun permit holders' going armed in local parks, but critics tagged it with an amendment allowing permit holders to bring their loaded weapons to the General Assembly.
As a result the bill, which passed on a 26-7 vote, will have to go back to the House for concurrence.
