NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Bill Haslam and fellow Republican House Speaker Beth Harwell are making a health care announcement at the state Capitol on Tuesday.

A press advisory gives no other details other than that the speaker and governor will be joined by Republican Reps. Cameron Sexton, Matthew Hill, Steve McManus and Roger Kane.

Harwell has become the target of a billboard campaign criticizing the Legislature for refusing Haslam's proposal to extend health coverage to 280,000 low income Tennesseans. Republicans balked at the Insure Tennessee plan last year over concerns that it was too closely linked to President Barack Obama's signature health care law.

Haslam has said it is unfair to single out Harwell for criticism, because she doesn't have the power to bring measures straight to a House floor vote.
