Brow Wood delivers spectacular views

The new Brow Wood master-planned community on Lookout Mountain offers a beautiful setting for newcomers or current residents to "build life together" as active adults while having their health needs met.

"I think the whole focus is on the community," said listing agent Beth Harrell of Real Estate Partners LLC. "I'm thrilled to be part of the project." Thistledown Development/Gentech is working with Thrive Senior Living LLC to transform 120 acres of pristine woodlands and valley vistas into Brow Wood, located one mile south of Covenant College in Georgia, 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

The Western Brow phase is the first to be offered, and Harrell said construction will begin within a few weeks. Brow lots and lots with brow views for custom homes are for sale < 15 are already sold < and Harrell is pre-selling one-level townhomes and smaller, architecturally designed homes called the Brow Wood Collection.

When complete, Brow Wood will also include the Eastern Woodlands side, a front porch neighborhood of cottages with an on-site 48-room assisted living facility with a state-of-the-art memory care section. Amenities will include home health options, a pavilion, community garden, pond, food services and a commercial center with a store, restaurant, hair salon and doctor's office.

All home sites are maintenance-free and Brow Wood residents will have first access to the assisted living facility.

Brow Wood is the vision of Lookout Mountain native Frank Brock, whose mother began the dream.

"He's loved that mountain," Harrell said. "He's grown up there." Western Brow site tours are being offered Sunday, Sept. 9 from 2-4 p.m., or by appointment.
