Walnut Hill delivers best of downtown

Southern architecture like private courtyards and columned porches come together with Chattanooga's downtown renaissance and riverfront nightlife in Walnut Hill Townhomes, all within walking distance of the restaurants, entertainment and recreation in the Bluff View Art District, Coolidge Park, the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge and more.

The townhomes are arranged like "those glorious old neighborhoods that mature over time," said Dale Mabee, owner/agent of Cornerstone Realty Group LLC. "It's the rebirth of the riverfront from the industrial, smokestack environment of the past to the vibrant, people-friendly place that we have now," he said.

Walnut Hill is entering a new construction phase of two-story townhomes.

Buyers opting for preconstruction contracts have access to special pricing and customization.

Unlike any other new downtown apartments or condos, Mabee said, these townhomes offer private parking, not communal parking garages, and there are no noisy neighbors living above or below.

"It's just like a detached single-family home in the suburbs," he said.

Details like ornamental railings and limestone foundations combined with choice appliances, finishes, elevators, bath accessories and a modern layout tie style and function together.

"We're able to maintain the architectural character and create a real sense of place," Mabee said.

All landscaping is professionally installed, maintained and equipped with irrigation systems. Attached carriage homes above the two- and three-car garages are equipped with a full bath, kitchenette and closet, making it perfect for a guest suite, home office or exercise room.

Walnut Hill is hosting an open house Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
