Conley picks UGA

Georgia picked up its fifth football commitment for the 2011 signing class Friday when receiver Chris Conley made a nonbinding announcement at North Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder amassed 81 receptions for 848 yards and six touchdowns last season as a junior and could wind up as the Peach State's top receiving prospect. According to RIvals.com, Conley picked the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee.

After the publicized recruitment of Calhoun High receiver Da'Rick Rogers this past winter, Conley is hoping for several uneventful months. He did not invite any media to his announcement, instead offering a statement through a release.

"Today my family and I are ending my recruitment," he said. "This decision was reached through much traveling and research but ultimately prayer. Through all of this, I have come to decide that I will be attending the University of Georgia."

Conley plans to enroll at Georgia in January.
