Nine-time champion Maggie Scott from Charleston rallied to force a playoff with Brentwood's Linda Wimberly on Wednesday at Tennessee Women's Senior Amateur golf tournament Wednesday at Old Hickory Country Club, but Wimberly prevailed with a par on the first playoff hole to claim the 2014 title.

Ewan Scott shot a 4-under-par 68 to lead the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's golf team to a third-place 286 in the first round Friday of the Tar Heel Intercollegiate tournament at Chapel Hill, N.C.
