KNOXVILLE -- Da'Rick Rogers has maintained publicly that he's still committed to Georgia, but the Calhoun High School wide receiver star has spent the past two weekends visiting Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee.
One week after officially visiting Knoxville with Yellow Jackets quarterback and UT commitment Nash Nance, Rogers again traveled North with his close friend on Sunday for the Volunteers' basketball game against Florida. The teammates arrived in snowy Knoxville late Saturday night with Nance's father, and they stayed until Sunday night.
Rogers, rated one of the nation's top overall prospects by every major recruiting service, will officially announce his college choice on Wednesday's national signing day with a press conference at CHS.
The Nance family has adamantly stated several times that Rogers would be under no pressure from them to sign with the Vols, and that Rogers has simply shown more interest in UT recently.
Nash Nance had been committed to Vanderbilt before switching his pledge to the Vols last week. No verbal commitments are final until prospects fax in a national letter of intent.
