Top seed ousts Lee

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The last of the Chattanooga-area college basketball teams to end its season did so Friday when Lee University lost 74-55 to top-seeded Robert Morris University of Illinois in the NAIA Division I men's tournament.

Only Johnny Godette with 16 points scored in double figures for the 16th-seeded Flames (23-9). Jerel Blocker, who was their top scorer for the season but battled toe and wrist injuries in the closing weeks, was next with eight points. Lee shot 31.7 percent from the field, compared to 44.8 percent for RMU.

Junior guard Diante Watkins scored 28 and Reggie Bunch had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Robert Morris (32-1), which plays Pikeville (Ky.) in the quarterfinals today. The Eagles fell behind 6-1 but led by 16 at halftime.
