KNOXVILLE - It's road trip time in Tennessee.
Beginning Wednesday, coaches from the University of Tennessee football and basketball programs will set out on the Big Orange Caravan, an annual late-spring tour coordinated by UT's Alumni Association and athletic department. The Caravan will make 10 stops in a 13-day stretch, including visits to Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., and Orlando Fla.
The tour stops Thursday at Cleveland Country Club at 11:30 a.m. New men's head basketball coach Cuonzo Martin, women's assistant Mickie DeMoss and football assistant Lance Thompson and possibly Jim Chaney are tentatively scheduled to attend, according to a UT spokesperson.
The Caravan hits the Chattanooga Convention Center at 6 p.m. on May 11 with head football coach Derek Dooley, head women's basketball coach Pat Summitt and director of men's basketball operations Houston Fancher, known to Chattanoogans as a former Appalachian State head coach.
For more information on any of the tour stops, visit alumni.tennessee.edu or call the Tyson Alumni House at 865-974-3011.
