KNOXVILLE - Justin Worley, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound freshman, will start at quarterback for Tennessee when the Volunteers try to snap a three-game losing streak against 14th-ranked South Carolina on Saturday night.

Worley, who entered UT's loss to Alabama last week in the fourth quarter, replaces Matt Simms, who started the last two games in place of Tyler Bray (broken thumb).

"I just feel like that for us to go out and try to win games, we're not throwing and catching the way we need to and we're not calling the game the way we want to," coach Derek Dooley said. "And so, we just need to make this move. I just feel like it's the right one -- it's not something that's done on a whim. You know, we have a lot of data to make a switch, we don't have a lot of data on Justin."

Freshman Marcus Jackson will replace James Stone at left guard, and Dooley said Justin Coleman, Byron Moore and Rod Wilks could see more playing time in the secondary.
