UGA's Malcome, Jenkins to be OK

Georgia starting tailback Ken Malcome and starting nose John Jenkins had to come out of Monday's Outback Bowl because of injuries, but each is expected to be fine for spring practice.

Malcome led the Bulldogs with 51 yards on 12 carries but left the 33-30 triple-overtime loss to Michigan State with 11 minutes left in regulation after sustaining a concussion. Jenkins had an interception with less than four minutes left in regulation but sprained the AC joint in his left shoulder and did not return.

The two injuries were announced Wednesday by longtime Georgia media relations director Claude Felton.

Felton also said that receiver Chris Conley will have wrist surgery this week to correct a condition he's had since high school, and he is expected to be limited in spring workouts.
