NASHVILLE - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team showed no signs of a letdown Wednesday in its first game since shocking Tennessee to open the season.

The Lady Mocs led from start to finish in their 84-54 win against Belmont at the Curb Event Center.

Taylor Hall helped get the Lady Mocs (2-0) off to a good start by hitting her first three shots, all 3-pointers. The Southern Conference player of the week after scoring 24 points against Tennessee last Friday, Hall finished with 16 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

She's 6-for-9 from 3-point range this season.

UTC led 17-15 with 12 minutes left in the first half and pulled away from the Bruins (1-2) for good after that, taking a 42-28 lead into halftime. The Lady Mocs hit 13 of their first 23 shots.

Faith Dupree scored six of UTC's first eight points in the second half as the Lady Mocs continued to stretch their lead. The margin went up to 23, 62-39, following a Tatianna Jackson steal and layup with 9:55 remaining.

Dupree finished with 12 points, Jackson added 12 -- the first points of the freshman's career -- and Ashlen Dewart was also in double figures with 10.
