Vanderbilt football coach James Franklin, who has led the Commodores to bowl games in each of his first two seasons, will be the guest speaker Monday at the Chattanooga Quarterback Club.

Vanderbilt's nine wins last season were the most for the program since 1915. The Commodores have won four Southeastern Conference games by 23 or more points the past two seasons, matching the total from 1957 to 2010.

"It has been forever since we've had an SEC football coach, so this is kind of a big deal," Quarterback Club president Doug Dyer said Wednesday. "He has been very nice about it and is not charging us anything. We are really excited."

The Quarterback Club meets from noon to 1 at the Stadium Club inside Finley Stadium, and Franklin is scheduled to start speaking around 12:15. Cost is $10 for the meal and $4 just for the speech.

Former Baylor School offensive lineman Barrett Gouger, now a redshirt freshman for the Commodores, was the first-team right guard during the Black & Gold game on April 13.
