Georgia right tackle John Theus, who started all 14 games this past season as a true freshman, underwent surgery Wednesday in Athens to repair a fifth metatarsal fracture in his right foot.

The 6-foot-6, 309-pounder from Jacksonville will miss at least some of spring practice, according to Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson. The Bulldogs are scheduled to start spring drills on March 2, with the G-Day game set for April 6.

Chris Burnette, who started at right guard this past season as a redshirt junior, will miss the entire spring after recently undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
