KNOXVILLE - Tennessee added the third verbal commitment for its 2014 recruiting class on Thursday night when Tampa (Fla.) offensive lineman Ray Raulerson became the Volunteers' 21st pledge.
The 6-foot-4, 279-pound three-star prospect plays tackle for Plant High School, the same program that produced Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray. Raulerson, who visited Tennessee last month, had scholarship offers from Auburn, Missouri, Vanderbilt, South Florida, Louisville, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
Offensive linemen are perhaps the Vols' top need given the expected losses after this season, and Raulerson is the third commitment at the position, joining Atlanta's Orlando Brown and Virginia's Coleman Thomas.
The Vols are hosting a big weekend of recruiting visits they've dubbed "Foundation Week" and could add to their commitment list.
