TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - It was not the most dynamic debut for Alabama's offense under new coordinator Lane Kiffin during this afternoon's A-Day game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Crimson, which contained the first-team offense, lost to the White 17-13. All of the scoring took place in the second half.

Tailback T.J. Yeldon scored the first touchdown for the Crimson, but his 1-yard run capped just a 7-yard drive that resulted from linebacker Tim Williams stripping tailback Kenyan Drake and recovering the fumble. The Crimson's second score came with 21 seconds remaining on a 55-yard pass from Blake Sims to Chris Black.

Defensive lineman D.J. Pettway scored the first touchdown of A-Day, intercepting Sims and racing 29 yards to put the White up 7-0 early in the third quarter. Adam Griffith put the White back up 10-7 on the final play of the third quarter, but the 41-yard field goal would be Griffith's only make in three attempts.

Cooper Bateman, who had the best day among the quarterbacks, threw a 32-yard touchdown to ArDarius Stewart with 2:37 to play to put the White up 17-7.
