Georgia senior offensive lineman Kolton Houston, who signed with the Bulldogs in 2010 but didn't play until 2013, was granted a sixth year of eligibility Friday by the NCAA.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder from the Atlanta suburb of Buford has started all 12 games this season at right tackle.

Houston was suspended by the NCAA after testing positive for a banned substance that was administered following shoulder surgery when he was at Buford High. Georgia appealed the suspension unsuccessfully on multiple occasions, but he was finally cleared to play in July 2013.

In 13 games last season, Houston made six starts.

His return should give the Bulldogs four returning starters up front for the 2015 season. The lone exception would be center David Andrews, who has started the past three seasons.
