MURFREESBORO, Tenn. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team fell to 6-6 on the year, dropping a 68-58 loss to Middle Tennessee State University Friday at the Murphy Center.

The Mocs trimmed a nine-point halftime deficit to 59-54 in the second half, powered by a strong second-half performance by sophomore guard Greg Pryor, who had 14 of his 16 points in the final 20 minutes.
The Blue Raiders (6-6) answered with a layup by Jacquez Rozier, then had a back-breaking 3 by Giddy Potts late in the shot clock to push their lead back to 10, which was the final margin.

The Mocs shot 55 percent in the second half. Casey Jones added 10 points, while Justin Tuoyo and Eric Robertson had nine each.

Potts had 16 to lead the Blue Raiders. Former Baylor standout Reggie Upshaw had 11 and Darnell Harris 10 for MTSU, who shot 49 percent for the game.

The Mocs return home for a five-game home stand, starting Monday with a non-conference game against the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
