The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team found a way to win yet again on Monday night with the No. 18 Mocs' rallying to beat Southern Conference opponent Mercer 56-51 in Macon, Ga.
UTC (25-3, 13-0 SoCon) were led by sophomore post player Jasmine Joyner with 18 points, seven blocks and six rebounds. Alicia "Red" Payne and Destiny Bramblett each added eight points in the win.
Mercer (16-13, 8-5) were led by Precious Bridges with 19 points, while Kahlia Lawrence scored 11 and Briana Williams added 10.
UTC's win and East Tennessee State's 69-46 loss at Samford guarantees the Mocs the SoCon regular-season championship.
