Two of Georgia's early enrollees recently underwent surgeries to repair pre-existing conditions, the university announced Friday.

Defensive end Natrez Patrick of Atlanta injured his left thumb in a high school all-star game and had surgery last week. He is expected to go through spring practice without any limitations, according to UGA director of sports medicine Ron Courson.

Another defensive end, Michael Barnett of Ridgeville, S.C., needed shoulder surgery last week and will miss spring practice. Barnett should be healthy by the start of August camp.
