Offensive lineman Mirko Jurkovic Jr. announced Monday afternoon via Twitter that he will be enrolling at Georgia and plans to report to Athens on Aug. 2.

The 6-foot-5, 276-pound Jurkovic signed this past winter at Ohio State but was not admitted in June due to an academic issue. Originally from Granger, Ind., Jurkovic spent last year at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

"I would like to thank Ohio State and all the other schools that gave me the opportunity to come play for them throughout this crazy process," Jurkovic said. "I am excited to start this journey to the next chapter of my life."

Jurkovic was rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and 247Sports.com, with 247Sports ranking him as the nation's No. 52 guard prospect. His father was an offensive lineman on Notre Dame's last national championship team in 1988.
