UTC women's basketball will play 2016 Preseason Women's Invitational

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will play in the 2016 Preseason Women's Invitational Tournament.

It will be their fourth appearance in the tournament, joining appearances in 2000, 2005 and 2011.

There are 16 teams in the field - 10 of which played in the 2015 postseason. Each team is guaranteed three games, with the first game being played on Nov. 13. Second round games will be played from Nov. 15-17, with championship semifinals on Nov. 19.

Teams that lose their first two games will play consolation games on Nov. 20-21, while the championship game will be played on Nov. 22.

The bracket with first-round opponents, game dates and times will be announced at a later date.
