The Mocs scored on each of their five first-half drives, and Lucas Webb added a 71-yard interception return for a score as UTC built a 31-0 halftime lead.

The Rams entered the game averaging 456.6 and 38.8 points per game, but were limited to 145 yards in the first half. Quarterback Kevin Anderson finished with 266 yards passing and three touchdowns.
