Christ Presbyterian Academy athlete Joseph Richard became the Mocs' ninth commitment for the 2016 football class on Sunday.

"I will be attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a scholar and an athlete #GoMocs," Richard wrote on his Twitter page Sunday.

Richard, a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder that projects as a receiver, chose the Mocs over offers from the University of Virginia and Army, as well as interest from Indiana, Kentucky, Memphis, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, among others.

He has 24 catches for 292 yards and three touchdowns for the Lions in seven games.

He is the second player from CPA to commit, as three-star quarterback Zach Weatherly pledged his non-binding agreement to the Mocs in September.
