KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee wrapped spring practice on Saturday afternoon with the Orange & White Game at Neyland Stadium.

The Volunteers were short two dozen players, but there were a few standouts, including running back John Kelly, wide receiver Preston Williams, linebacker Quart'e Sapp and more.

Tennessee also named permanent captains for the first time since 2011 and landed verbal commitments from three 2017 recruits.

After the game, Sapp, quarterback Quinten Dormady and defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie were among the players who spoke to the media.

Dormady talked extensively about what went into the format change for the QB Challenge and praised Williams and fellow receiver Jeff George for their progress during the spring.

Sapp, a promising redshirt freshman, delved into his development at linebacker after his game-high nine-tackle performance.

McKenzie talked about the "Circle of Life" drill with which Tennessee opened Saturday's spring game and the impending return of the handful of defensive linemen that sat out the spring with injuries.
