The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team picked up a commitment on Wednesday from Iowa transfer Andrew Fleming, a 6-foot-5 guard/forward from Nashville.

"I am excited to announce that I will be heading to play college basketball for one of the best coach's in America," Fleming posted on his Twitter page. "I'm thankful for Coach (Matt) McCall and the relationship we have built over the years ever since he recruited me at Florida and I'm excited to play for him at Chattanooga in my home state! Jesus has placed a tremendous opportunity for me in Chattanooga and I plan to work hard and make the most of it! Go Mocs!!!"

Fleming, who will sit out the 2016-17 season and have three years of eligibility remaining, played in 11 games and averaged 2.2 points per game for the Hawkeyes. The former three-star prospect spent three seasons at Ensworth and helped the Tigers to three straight Division II-AA state championships, earning all-state honors twice and being named Mr. Basketball in 2014.

He spent his senior season at Oak Hill, making 72 3-pointers at a 38 percent rate.

He becomes the fifth player either committed or signed to the Mocs this season. Guards David Jean-Baptiste, Rodney Chatman and Makale Foreman have signed, while Nat Dixon committed to the program last week.
