University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer coach Gavin McKinney announced Thursday the signings of 11 players to national letters of intent. None are from the Chattanooga area, but all are from Tennessee, with nine from the midstate region.

Offensive standout Amber Brayer and defensive star Sarah Harter are coming to the Mocs from Independence High School in Franklin, while Alex Scearce signed out of Franklin's Centennial High, Jordan Mueller from Beech High and Catherine Meyer from Pope John Paul II High in Hendersonville and Catherine Cocke from Father Ryan High and Kara Wegner from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville.

UTC also got Cameron Hills from Spring Hill High and all-state goalkeeper Melia Correa from Clarksville High.

The East Tennessee signees are Bailey Gale from South-Doyle High in Knoxville and Anna Moore from Bristol. Moore is home-schooled but played three seasons for Tennessee High and was its team MVP each year.

"We're really excited for our 2016 signing class," McKinney said in the UTC release. "We've worked really hard to identify the top players in the state of Tennessee. We feel that we've brought in some players who are going to add a lot of depth to the program."

Brayer was a four-year starter for Independence, recording 47 goals and 19 assists, and she was a four-year member of the Tennessee Olympic Development Program team. Her club team won the 2015 Wide World of Sports Disney tournament.

Harter, whose brother Seth attends UTC, was a three-time defensive MVP for Independence and played for a club team that won state championships four years in a row.

Cocke helped Father Ryan win a state title in 2012 and return to the championship game in 2013, and her club team won the 2014 Disney Showcase.

Correa registered 61 shutouts in her four-year career at Clarksville, which won the 2014 Class AAA state title and was the 2015 runner-up. She was a four-year all-tournament keeper and made the 2015 all-state elite team.

Gale was on the 2014 ESPN Disney champion and was the District 2-AAA player of the year after being its midfielder of the year in 2013. She was a four-year all-district and all-district tournament selection.

Meyer was a three-time Pope John Paul MVP and two-time all-state player and is a 4.0 student who serves as student council co-president. She scored 71 percent of the Knights' goals the past two years.

Moore, another 4.0 student, was a 2015 Class AAA all-state choice who totaled 32 goals and 41 assists in her three-year Tennessee High career. She was on the Tennessee Olympic Development team from 2012 to 2014.

Mueller played three years for Beech and was its co-MVP in 2014. She helped the Buccaneers go 53-21-7 and finish as the Region 5-AAA runners-up all three seasons.

Scearce was an all-district player for Centennial and ranks 11th in her class, and her club team was a state runner-up in 2012.

Wegner helped CPA win the 2012 state title and three region championships, and she was a two-time all-state player whose 2013 club team won the state title and whose 2014 club team won the Disney Showcase.

Williams was a four-time MVP for Spring Hill and led the team in scoring as a center back and center midfielder all four years, totaling 74 career goals. Her club team won six Division I State Cup championships and three Region III titles.
