Chattanooga State two-team basketball coach Jay Price got to enjoy a TCCAA doubleheader sweep Saturday, as his male Tigers beat visiting Roane State 83-67 and then his Lady Tigers won 62-57.

Devlyn Williams scored 22 points and DaV Moore had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Chattanooga State men, now 19-7 overall. Micah Goss led Roane's Raiders with 22 points.

For the Lady Tigers, Teondra Crawford was 7-of-11 from 3-point distance in scoring 25 points, and Sydney Sims had 18 while Melva Sheppard grabbed 13 rebounds. RaChelle Parks led the Raiderettes with 19 points.

' Walters State 88, Cleveland State 77, OT: At Cleveland, D'Monte Evans scored 15 points and Braxton Nappier and Chattanooga resident Corey Nelson added 14 and 13 with 10 rebounds for the winning Senators, who trailed by 11 at halftime but rallied and forced overtime with Nappier's half-court shot at the final horn. Q.D. Cox scored 19 points and Darrion Lesie had 17 plus 14 rebounds for the Cougars, who got 16 points on four 3s by Javel Gillespie, 13 rebounds with 10 points from Lawrence Castor and six assists from Courtland Crutcher.

' Walters (w) 54, Cleveland State 38: The powerhouse Lady Senators rose to 26-0, 15-0 in the TCCAA, with 17 points from Ant'Treasia Patton. Keke Smith and JLynn Majors scored 12 apiece for the third-place Lady Cougars (18-5, 11-3).

' West Georgia 71, Lee 68: At Cleveland, Shannon Fowler led the Wolves' Gulf South Conference victory with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Keevin Tyus had 21 points and eight rebounds off the bench for Lee, while Chase Cullen scored 15 points and Rantavious Gilbert blocked five shots.

' West Georgia (w) 77, Lee 76: The Wolves trailed all but 3:05 of the women's game, by as many as 13 points, but pulled off the GSC upset on D'Asia Cain's buzzer-beating 3-pointer behind 37 points, six assists and three steals from league scoring leader Katrina Littlepage. She hit four of six 3-point tries and 13 of 14 free throws, and West Georgia (6-19, 6-13) was 17-of-20 from the foul line. Erin Walsh had 25 points and six assists and Haris Price scored 19 points for Lee (16-8, 13-6), while Christina Johnson and Shelby Brown had 10 and nine rebounds.

' Tennessee Wesleyan 99, St. Andrews 81: At Laurinburg, N.C., the 13th-ranked Bulldogs improved to 23-2, 15-2 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, as Devante' Jenkins had 29 points and 10 rebounds, Trey Suttles had 25 points and five assists and Leland Robinson had 12 points and nine rebounds.

' Tennessee Wesleyan (w) 85, St. Andrews 52: Jara Gasper and Madison Walkup scored 14 points apiece, Walkup with nine rebounds, as the Lady Bulldogs easily kept their hosts winless in AAC play. Leighann McAfee and Kassi Knight added 10 points each.

' Montreat 95, Bryan 83: At Montreat, N.C., the Lions dropped to 13-13, 8-9 in the AAC, with the loss to the league's last-place team. Bryan senior Brandon Cole was announced Thursday as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 college division men's team, which requires a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale as well as significant athletic achievement. The 6-foot-2 Crossville resident and reigning AAC player of the year leads NAIA Division II with 29.2 points per game and is third with 11.2 rebounds.

' Bryan (w) 80, Montreat 70: The first-place Lady Lions rose to 16-2 in the AAC and 24-3 overall with the road win.

' Dalton State 80, Brewton-Parker 68: At Mount Vernon, Ga., Jalen Robinson scored 27 points and Jordan Bowling had 12 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists in the Roadrunners' Southern States win. Marcel Hawkins added 11 points.

' Covenant 85, Huntingdon 55: At Montgomery, Ala., Ben Phelps made five of seven 3 tries and scored 21 points to lead the Scots to the USA South road romp. TJ Cox had 13 points and Daniel Garrett had 11 plus 10 rebounds in the win, and Z Arima had five assists.

' Covenant (w) 68, Huntingdon 64: The Lady Scots scored only three points in the second quarter and trailed by 11 in the fourth before winning the USA South road game. Joanna Smith scored 16 points and Aleigha Williams and Jessica Bell each had 12 points and seven rebounds in the victory.
