New Georgia football coach Kirby Smart wants bigger Bulldogs up front on both sides of the line, and there is a push for more height in the receiver ranks.

Georgia's tallest receiver this past season was 6-foot-2 freshman Jayson Stanley, but earlier this month the Bulldogs signed 6-4, 220-pound Javon Wims of Hinds Community College in Mississippi. They also have received a commitment from Xavier Jenkins, a 6-5, 195-pounder from Lowndes High School in Valdosta.

Jenkins is a three-star prospect rated the No. 81 receiver nationally in the 2017 signing class by 247Sports. He had 26 receptions for 430 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior this past season.

The Bulldogs now have five in-state commitments for 2017, with Jenkins joining Hinesville five-star athlete Richard LeCounte III, Atlanta four-star linebacker Jaden Hunter, Loganville four-star outside linebacker Breon Dixon and Ellenwood three-star guard Justin Shaffer.
