Johnathan Abram's career as a Georgia safety didn't quite last a calendar year.

Abram, who enrolled early last January, is leaving the Bulldogs and reportedly will enroll at Jones County Community College in Ellisville, Miss. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder played in 10 games this past season, with four starts, and compiled 25 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

After starting against Florida and making a season-high five tackles, Abram had a limited role down the stretch and didn't even play at Auburn or at Georgia Tech. He did not make the trip to the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville due to "personal issues," according to interim coach Bryan McClendon.

Georgia has not confirmed Abram's departure but did announce Monday the arrivals of six new early enrollees: quarterback Jacob Eason, receiver Riley Ridley, tight end Isaac Nauta, tackle Ben Cleveland, defensive tackle Julian Rochester and cornerback Chad Clay. Eason, Nauta, Cleveland and Rochester enrolled two days after playing at the U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio.
