* Soon-to-depart Derek Waugh of Dalton State was honored Sunday night as the Southern States Athletic Conference athletic director of the year, and the Roadrunners won the SSAC Commissioner's Cup for men's sports. DSC golfer Levi Nix won the SSAC men's academic award. "I've never been anything of the year," said Waugh, who is leaving next month to head the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
