Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga standout defensive tackle Derrick Lott has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Words can't express the feeling I feel right now," Lott tweeted Monday afternoon, adding three "praying hands" emojis.

The 6-foot-4, 314-pounder has spent time with the Tennessee Titans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, signing a pair of contracts with the Bucs during the 2015 season and ending up on the practice squad.

Lott played in 29 games with 14 starts at UTC after transferring from Georgia. He had 114 total tackles, eight sacks, 20 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 15 quarterback hurries, earning first-team all-Southern Conference honors as a senior and making the second team as a junior.

He makes four former Mocs on current NFL rosters. The others are Buster Skrine (New York Jets), Chris Lewis-Harris (Cincinnati Bengals) and Davis Tull (New Orleans Saints).
