Kristy Wieser made 13 kills and Miranda Elpers had 12 kills and 16 digs as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga won its fourth consecutive Southern Conference volleyball match Saturday afternoon, 3-1 over visiting Western Carolina.

The set scores were 25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Allie Davenport and Emily Plumlee added nine kills apiece for UTC (11-7, 4-1), Davenport with 17 digs, while Lauren Greenspoon had 24 assists and 14 digs, Madison Bergren 19 assists and Rachel Petkosh 21 digs.

Bryan College's matches scheduled in Columbia, S.C., were called off because of Hurricane Matthew.

- At Clinton, Miss., Lee University used a balanced attack to beat Mississippi College 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 25-23) in a Gulf South Conference match. Crystal Dedes had 11 kills, Sylvia Sartori had 10, Brooke Wilsman and Catherine Conley had nine apiece and Carly Callahan added eight for the Lady Flames (7-8, 4-6), who got 25 and 22 assists from Sadie Johnson and Kristi Farley, 23 digs from MaKayla Beebe and 15 digs each from Wilsman and Sartori.

- At Covenant College, the host Lady Scots improved to 8-2 in the USA South with a 3-0 win (25-13, 25-16, 25-16) over Salem but then fell to 11-10 overall with a 3-0 nonconference loss (25-13, 25-12, 25-18) to Emory. Schuyler Moore had 40 assists and 10 digs and Hannah Harris had 13 kills against Salem, when Allie Jakes had eight kills and Hannah Stewart had 12 digs. Moore had 20 assists, Stewart and Jessica Seehorn had 12 and 10 digs and Ginny Moore had 11 kills against Emory (16-3).

- At Sewanee, Tenn., Sewanee's Tigers lost 3-2 (19-25, 21-25, 25-16, 27-25, 15-13) to Oglethorpe in Southern Athletic Association play, with Savanna Hockman registering 14 kills and 19 digs for the Stormy Petrels (8-10, 2-7. Diamond Stewart had 11 kills and 18 digs for Sewanee (8-9, 2-7), which got nine kills from Caroline Owens, eight kills from Mason Gardella, 21 assists and 15 digs from Anna Wilson, 19 assists from Constance Connelly and 19 digs apiece from Sara Jayne Sutton and Kristy Gray.
