The Roadrunners' 903 total was three shots behind winner Keiser. DSC's S.M. Lee tied for third at 221 with two teammates playing as individuals, Sport Allmond and Adam Morris, and P.J. Baseball

* Tennessee Wesleyan junior left-hander Aaron Ford's three-hit shutout of Milligan College this past weekend earned him the honor of Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball pitcher of the week. His main accomplishment was his total of 18 strikeouts in the nine-inning game.

Track & Field

* Tennessee Wesleyan sophomore Bryce Choate from Tellico Plains was the AAC men's track athlete of the week after setting a school record in winning the 800-meter dash and helping the 4x800 relay team set another school standard at the Montreat College Invitational meet. Choate's 800 time of 1:52.64 is the fourth best outdoors in the NAIA this year. The new relay record is 7:56.58.

Lacrosse

* Sewanee goalkeeper Brianna Young on Monday was announced as the Southern Athletic Association women's lacrosse defensive player of the week for the second time this season. She had a .651 save percentage in two games last week, when she allowed 15 goals and made 28 saves. Her .647 save percentage for the season leads NCAA Division III.

Tennis

* Covenant freshman Logan Hull is the USA South men's tennis rookie of the week for the second time, after he went 2-1 in both singles and doubles in the Scots' 2-1 week. Micah Fox was his partner at No. 2 doubles. One of Hull's singles wins, 6-3, 6-0, avenged an early-season loss to Piedmont. Covenant's loss was out-of-conference against nationally ranked Sewanee, and the Scots lead the USAS West Division at 4-1.

* Tennessee Wesleyan junior Borja Perez is the AAC men's tennis player of the week after winning both of his matches at No. 2 singles last week, 6-0, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-2.

Basketball

* Coach David Stephenson again has pulled in a player for his Georgia Northwestern men's basketball team from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, which has provided some of the best Bobcats of the past. The latest LFO recruit is 6-foot-5 defensive specialist Tristen Bennett. "From what (LFO) Coach (Jerry) Jones has told me, and from what a lot of people I've talked to have said, Tristen loves to block shots, rebound and play defense," Stephenson said in a GNTC release. "He's not a big scorer, but we've needed someone that's willing to get in there and do those types of things." Said Jones: "This year he was a lot better than he was the year before, and I really wish I could have him back one more year because I think he's really going to blossom. He'll be worth his weight just blocking shots, (and) he's got a nice shot 10 feet from the basket."
