Jim Reynolds, a witty WGOW personality and the "Voice of the Mocs" for football and men's basketball for 37 years, will be inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame in a banquet ceremony May 6 at the Marriott in Nashville. Reynolds has broadcast about 1,100 basketball and 400 football games since arriving in Chattanooga in 1980, plus making calls as a baseball umpire, and he's already in the UTC Athletics and Greater Chattanooga Sports halls of fame. He will be inducted with 10 other individuals and 77-year-old station WHUB in Cookeville, and tickets can be ordered at tennesseeradiohalloffame.wildapricot.org. "Jim Reynolds is without question one of the best in the business," UTC vice chancellor and athletic director David Blackburn said in a school release. "He has made championship calls for the Mocs for nearly 40 years, and his contributions to UTC go well beyond broadcasting."
