Area Sports Notes: UTC's Chloe Arnold a Top 100 Freshman

Top Drawer Soccer has included the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Chloe Arnold in its Top 100 Freshmen for 2017 Division I women's programs. Arnold is No. 92 in the list after becoming the first Moc to be the Southern Conference freshman of the year. She led UTC with seven goals in 2017, including five in conference games.

Basketball

* Asbury University rallied in the second half and defeated host Bryan College 94-89 in NAIA men's basketball Thursday. Oteriah Lee had 21 points and 11 assists and Caleb Tuck scored 20 points with five 3-point baskets for Bryan (9-6), which got 15 points and nine rebounds from E.J. Bush and eight rebounds apiece with 10 and eight points from Brice Cusick and Terrance Scales. Trenton Thompson had 29 points and nine rebounds for Asbury (9-3), which has won seven of eight games since a 94-86 home loss to Bryan, including the last five.
