The fourth Scenic City Invitational professional wrestling event benefiting an area school is set for Aug. 4-5 at East Hamilton, and former East Ridge and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football standout Gunner Miller will be back to defend his 2016 title. The doors will open at 6:30 each evening, and the first bout is set for 7:30. General admission tickets cost $10, and a limited number of floor seats are available for $15. Some of the proceeds will go to new restroom facilities for the East Hamilton baseball and softball complex, according to a news release. Besides Miller, the 16 competitors will include former UFC fighter Matt Riddle, another returner from 2016, and longtime local wrestler Tank, who has said this will be his retirement event. Promoter Josh Massey said in the release that the field will include performers who have wrestled in Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, England and Germany as well as the United States. He further said that as of Monday fans from 33 states, Australia, England, Germany and Canada had bought tickets. For ticket inquiries or more information email dylanwaco.gmail.com.
