University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Tre' McLean made the trip to Asheville, N.C., and is expected to play Saturday against Wofford in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference basketball tournament.

McLean, who was a second-team all-conference selection by the coaches and a third-team choice by the media, was suspended for Monday's game against The Citadel for conduct detrimental to the team, after leaving the bench early in the second half of last Saturday's game against Mercer.

A report Sunday night stated that McLean was "likely" to not play again this season, but UTC coach Matt McCall refuted that in a Wednesday news conference.

"There's been a plan laid out for Tre' to be a part of this team going forward," McCall said. "He understands that because he knows the culture and he knows the standard here."

Senior point guard Greg Pryor is not expected to play against the Terriers after injuring his hand after the Mercer game.
