Lee University had 12 first-place event finishes, six seconds and five thirds as its women's and men's track teams both finished second out of five schools at the Alabama-Huntsville Charger Invitational outdoor meet Saturday.

UAH was the men's winner, Montevallo the women's.

Lee twins Justin and Josiah Brooks were first and second in both the men's 100- and 200-meter dashes, and Josiah won the triple jump. The Flames' Harold Smith won the 800 and 1500 with teammate Brandon Raleigh third in both and Alex Carter fourth in the 800, and Christian Noble won the 5000 with Seth Eagleson third.

Adrian Martin won the women's 100 and 200 with Kiley Brock second and fourth, and Audrey Smith won the 5000 with Amy Carpenter fifth. Jordan Allison was first in the 400 hurdles and sixth in the 400 dash, and Cayce Bryan, Jessica Childers and Lacey Duvall were second, third and fifth in the 800 with Charlee Boxall second in the 1500.

The Lee women also won the 4x400 relay, Hannah Buttolph won the high jump and Camilla Sims was second in the shot put and third in discus.

Stockton wins 5k

Sewanee's Logan Stockton won the men's 5000-meter race and teammate Mark McAlister was fourth out of 35 competitors Saturday in the Victor Ice Breaker Duals at Berry College.

Also for the Tigers, L'Or Puymartin was second in the women's 3000 steeplechase, Tricia Murphy fourth in the women's 1500, Ash Midyett fourth in the men's 800 and Davis Couch fourth in the 400 hurdles.

In Covenant's competition with Piedmont and Oglethorpe (and the West Georgia women) at Berry, the Scots' Kyle Delk was fourth in men's long jump and Hannah Samuels, Michelann Settle and Caroline Pepper were sixth through eighth in the women's 5000. Margaret Fitch was seventh in the 1500.
