Brice Ramsey has thrown his last pass and punted a final time for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia announced Tuesday that the fifth-year senior quarterback and punter has elected to play his final season elsewhere as a graduate transfer. The school said fifth-year senior cornerback Reggie Wilkerson has chosen to do the same.

"Our sincerest thanks to both Brice and Reggie for their contributions to the university in general and to the Bulldog football program in particular over these past four years," Bulldogs second-year coach Kirby Smart said in a release. "We wish them all the best at their next destination and final season of eligibility."

Both players will be eligible to play immediately under NCAA graduate transfer rules.

Ramsey, a 6-foot-3, 210-pounder from Kingsland, Ga., played in 24 career games for the Bulldogs. The favorite to become Georgia's starting quarterback before the 2015 season, Ramsey was beaten out by graduate transfer Greyson Lambert in preseason camp that year and spent last season behind touted freshman Jacob Eason and Lambert.

In 19 career appearances as a quarterback, Ramsey completed 45 of 74 passes for 582 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.

Ramsey became Georgia's starting punter during the stretch run of the past two seasons, booming a 58-yarder against Georgia Southern in 2015 that was downed at the 1-yard line and averaging 47.7 yards that year against Kentucky. In Georgia's 31-23 win over TCU in the Liberty Bowl this past season, Ramsey had an 11-yard run as the holder on a fake field-goal attempt.

Wilkerson, a 5-11, 173-pounder from Citra, Fla., played in 20 career games, making 12 tackles and two tackles for loss.

Ramsey and Wilkerson were four-star members of Georgia's 2013 signing class, with Ramsey being ranked the No. 6 pro-style quarterback and No. 100 overall prospect in the 247Sports.com composite rankings. His departure leaves Georgia with two scholarship quarterbacks - Eason and early enrollee Jake Fromm - for next week's start of spring practice.

Pro day today

Lambert will not participate this morning when Georgia holds its annual pro day.

Among the former Bulldogs scheduled to perform are receivers Isaiah McKenzie and Reggie Davis, offensive linemen Tyler Catalina, Greg Pyke and Brandon Kublanow, inside linebacker Tim Kimbrough, outside linebacker Chuks Amaechi and defensive backs Quincy Mauger and Maurice Smith. Kimbrough did not play last season after being dismissed from the program.

McKenzie is the only participant today who received an invitation to the recent NFL combine.
