Missouri completed a three-game sweep of Tennessee on the baseball field Saturday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, winning 8-2 in the Southeastern Conference matchup as the Volunteers' season came to a close.

The Tigers (35-21, 14-16) rolled in Knoxville in the final game of Dave Serrano's six-year tenure as Tennessee coach.

Serrano announced Wednesday that he would resign at the end of the season. Tennessee (27-25, 7-21) went 20-4 against nonconference opponents this year but failed to make the 12-team SEC tournament that starts this week.

Assistant coach Larry Simcox is serving as the interim coach until Serrano's replacement is named.
