Millsaps 17, Sewanee 13

At Jackson, Miss., the visiting Tigers outgained the Majors 354 yards to 288 but fell just short on the scoreboard in the Southern Athletic Association game, leaving each team 2-2 overall, 1-1 in the league.

Sewanee freshman quarterback Alex Darras was 18-for-28 passing for 176 yards, and he led a drive from the Tigers' 28-yard line in the closing minutes that ended with his fumble after a fourth-down 15-yard run to the Millsaps 20 with 1:19 to go. The drive including a 17-yard Darras pass to C.J. McCullough on a fourth-and-9.

Warren Holland ran 21 times for 60 yards, including a 5-yard score that put Sewanee up 7-0, and Micah Maes caught nine passes for 56 yards. Michael Jacobs kicked field goals of 37 and 41 yards, and Pierce Johnson totaled 12 tackles. William Phillips had a 53-yard punt return.

Sewanee hosts Hendrix at 1 p.m. CDT this Saturday on Hall of Fame weekend.
