The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball program picked up a commitment Tuesday from Jonathan Scott, a 6-foot-4 guard from Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colo.

Scott, who has two years of eligibility remaining, averaged 12 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting 47 percent from the field, 44 percent from 3-point range and 78 percent from the free-throw line in helping Otero get to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I national tournament. He scored in double digits in 23 of the 31 games he played in and had at least two 3-pointers in 17 of those games.

He has a brother Josh who stands 6-10 and was an All-Pac-12 player for Colorado. He currently plays professional basketball in Japan. Another brother, Jordan, just completed his eligibility at Idaho.

Scott will join guards Maurice Commander and Donovann Toatley and forwards Kevin Easley and Keigan Kerby in the Mocs' 2018-19 signing class. In addition, transfer guard Jerry Johnson and forward Ramon Vila will be available after sitting out, although Vila won't be eligible until after the first semester is completed.
