NAME YOU KNOW

Quarterback Justin Fields of Kennesaw, Ga., is expected to challenge returning starter Jake Fromm, who earned Southeastern Conference newcomer of the year this past season and led the Bulldogs to the league championship.

NAME YOU WILL KNOW

Running back Zamir White is a five-star talent, so he's hardly under the radar, but he injured a knee last fall in the North Carolina state playoffs. Should he be healthy by the start of the 2018 season, it's possible he soon would be the top tailback on the roster.

Georgia was the leader last spring and into the summer for Stephon Wynn, the strongside defensive end from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., who is originally from Anderson, S.C. Alabama made a push, however, and was able to sign him in December.

» Bush is a four-star prospect and the No. 37 receiver nationally, according to 247Sports.com. He racked up 27 receptions for 328 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior and committed and signed with the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

CB TYSON CAMPBELL

» 6-2, 180, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (American Heritage)

» Campbell, the nation's No. 2 cornerback and No. 12 prospect overall, made his announcement Wednesday morning on ESPNU, picking the Bulldogs over Alabama and Miami. In his three seasons at American Heritage, Campbell collected 133 tackles and six interceptions.

DT JORDAN DAVIS

» 6-6, 320, Charlotte, N.C. (Mallard Creek)

» Davis, rated the No. 29 defensive tackle nationally by 247Sports, committed to the Bulldogs on Nov. 16 but did not sign early. He took his official visit to Athens last month, which came on the heels of Mallard Creek's 14-1 season, and signed Wednesday.

CB NADAB JOSEPH

» 6-2, 180, Miami (Norland)

» Joseph is the No. 18 cornerback nationally and the No. 175 prospect overall, according to 247Sports. He committed to Alabama on Dec. 5 but announced Dec. 20, the first day of the early signing period, that he was switching and intended to sign with the Bulldogs.

OLB OTIS REESE

» 6-3, 205, Leesburg, Ga. (Lee County)

» The nation's No. 5 outside linebacker and No. 87 prospect overall, according to 247Sports, Reese had been committed to Michigan but announced Wednesday he was switching and signing with Georgia. He amassed 65 tackles, 10 for loss, as a senior.

OLB QUAY WALKER

» 6-4, 235, Cordele, Ga. (Crisp County)

» Walker committed to Alabama last summer and entered Wednesday still committed to the Crimson Tide, but most analysts believed Georgia and Tennessee were his finalists. He is the nation's No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 31 overall prospect after amassing 76 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

DT TRAMEL WALTHOUR

» 6-3, 270, Hinesville, Ga. (Liberty County)

» Walthour committed to Georgia before the early signing period but did not sign until Wednesday. The nation's No. 37 defensive tackle according to Rivals.com and No. 48 according to 247Sports will be reunited in Athens with former Liberty County safety Richard LeCounte III, who was a touted signee last year.

» Anderson is a five-star recruit, according to 247Sports, and the No. 18 overall prospect nationally. Also rated the No. 13 overall prospect by Rivals, he has 61 career tackles, 9.5 career sacks and one interception.

P/K JAKE CAMARDA

» 6-2, 180, Norcross, Ga. (Norcross)

» Camarda is the No. 8 kicker nationally, according to 247Sports, and was one of three specialists selected to play in the 2018 Under Armour All-American Game. He served as the kicker and the punter for three seasons at Norcross, averaging 46.2 yards punting as a senior while making four field-goal attempts of more than 50 yards.

OL OWEN CONDON

» 6-7, 315, Oklahoma City (Bishop McGuinness)

» Born in Atlanta, Condon is a consensus three-star prospect who is rated by 247Sports as the nation's No. 37 offensive tackle. He incurred a torn meniscus during the 2017 opener but played into the second game before undergoing season-ending surgery.

RB JAMES COOK

» 5-11, 183, Miami (Miami Central)

» The younger brother of former Florida State standout and injured Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook committed to the Seminoles early in the recruiting process before switching to the Bulldogs. He is a five-star prospect, according to Rivals, which ranks him as the No. 18 overall prospect nationally.

OLB BRENTON COX

» 6-4, 250, Stockbridge, Ga. (Stockbridge)

» Cox is a five-star prospect who is ESPN's No. 5 defensive end nationally and 247Sports's No. 2 strongside defensive end. As a senior, he collected 42 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery while helping the Tigers go 13-1 and reach the Class AAAAA quarterfinals.

OL WARREN ERICSON

» 6-4, 315, Suwanee, Ga. (North Gwinnett)

» Ericson is a four-star prospect who is rated the No. 5 center nationally by 247Sports and the No. 11 guard by ESPN. He helped lead North Gwinnett to the Class AAAAAAA state championship as the Bulldogs averaged 223.9 rushing yards and 180.7 passing yards a game.

QB JUSTIN FIELDS

» 6-3, 225, Kennesaw, Ga. (Harrison)

» The No. 1 player in the country, according to ESPN, Fields is a consensus five-star prospect and the consensus No. 1 dual-threat quarterback nationally. He has compiled 4,187 career passing yards with 41 aerial touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.com, and he has averaged 220.4 passing yards per game.

TE JOHN FITZPATRICK

» 6-6, 230, Atlanta (Marist)

» FitzPatrick is rated the nation's No. 5 tight end by Rivals and No. 10 by ESPN. As a senior, he helped lead Marist to a 14-1 season and a Class AAAA runner-up finish by making 26 catches for 388 yards and three touchdowns. He also played defensive end for the War Eagles.

TE LUKE FORD

» 6-6, 248, Carterville, Ill. (Carterville)

» Ford is rated the nation's No. 3 tight end by 247Sports and the No. 51 prospect overall. He had scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma and signed with the Bulldogs on the middle day of December's early signing period, though Georgia has since lost tight ends coach Shane Beamer.

OL DEONTREY HILL

» 6-4, 330, Warner Robins, Ga. (Houston County)

» Selected to represent the East in the 2018 U.S. Army All-America Bowl, Hill is rated the No. 2 guard and No. 38 overall prospect nationally by 247Sports. He was a Houston County teammate of current Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

WR KEARIS JACKSON

» 6-0, 200, Fort Valley, Ga. (Peach County)

» Jackson is a consensus four-star prospect who is rated the nation's No. 4 receiver by ESPN. While helping guide Peach County to a 13-2 record and a Class AAA runner-up finish this past season, he had 47 receptions for 852 yards - an average of of 18.1 yards per catch - and nine touchdowns. Also a track and field standout, he won the AAA shot put title this past spring.

» 6-6, 318, Knoxville (Knoxville Catholic)

» Selected to represent the East in the 2018 U.S. Army All-America Bowl, Mays is rated the No. 2 offensive tackle prospect by 247Sports and the No. 16 overall prospect. Formerly a Tennessee commitment, he helped lead Catholic to the Class 5A title this year and was among the six finalists for the U.S Army All-America Bowl's 2018 Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year Award.

OLB AZEEZ OJULARI

» 6-3, 230, Marietta, Ga. (Marietta)

» Selected to represent the East in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Oiulari is a consensus four-star prospect and is rated the No. 7 weakside defensive end and No. 79 overall prospect by 247Sports. He helped lead Marietta to the Class AAAAAAA semifinals this past season by tallying 118 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.

OL JAMAREE SALYER

» 6-4, 325, Atlanta (Pace Academy)

» Selected to represent the East in the 2018 U.S. Army All-America Bowl, Salyer is the nation's No. 1 guard and No. 10 overall prospect, according to 247Sports. He played three seasons alongside current Georgia right tackle Andrew Thomas, who has started all 13 games as a freshman.

DB CHRISTOPHER SMITH

» 5-11, 175, Atlanta (Hapeville Charter)

» Smith is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports and Rivals, with the latter ranking him as the nation's No. 17 cornerback. He helped lead Hapeville Charter to a 14-1 record and the AA title as a senior by intercepting two passes, including one in the first quarter of the state championship game.

ILB CHANNING TINDALL

» 6-2, 213, Columbia, S.C. (Spring Valley)

» Tindall, who signed on the middle day of December's early period, is rated the No. 5 inside linebacker and No. 103 overall prospect on the 247Sports.com composite rankings. He tallied 132 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and nine sacks as a Spring Valley senior.

RB ZAMIR WHITE

» 6-0, 210, Laurinburg, N.C. (Scotland County)

» Selected to represent the East in the 2018 U.S. Army All-America Bowl, White is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 running back nationally and the No. 9 prospect overall. He rushed for 7,169 yards in his career and 2,086 yards in his senior season, which was cut short in the second round of the playoffs because of a torn ACL. White had eight carries for 145 yards and three touchdowns before the injury.

DB DIVAAD WILSON

» 6-0, 180, Miami (Miami Northwestern)

» Wilson is a consensus four-star prospect and the No. 24 cornerback nationally, according to Rivals. He tallied five interceptions as a junior and added eight more as a senior, when he helped lead Miami Northwestern to a 13-2-1 season and the Class 6A title. Wilson also had two punt returns for touchdowns.

DL DEVONTE WYATT

» 6-3, 301, Decatur, Ga. (Hutchinson CC)

» Wyatt was the No. 14 defensive tackle nationally in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports, coming out of Towers High School. He tallied 30 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a blocked extra point this season at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, with ESPN and 247Sports ranking him as the No. 10 junior-college prospect.
