The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball program picked up a commitment Tuesday from Keigan Kerby, a 6-foot-7 swingman from the Brooks School in Andover, Mass.

Kerby was ranked as the No. 26 player in Massachusetts as a senior and the No. 74 player in New England. Rated a two-star prospect by VerbalCommits.com, he helped lead Brooks to its third consecutive New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class B championship, earning All-NEPSAC honors in the process.

Kerby finished his prep career with 18 points in the championship game. He was honored as the most valuable player.

"I'm so happy for Keigan," Brooks coach John McVeigh said after that win. "He missed most of his first three years of playing at Brooks with injuries that have been out of his control. It was great that he was able to play this whole season and stay healthy, but was so much better to see him finish his Brooks career the way he did this weekend, absolutely dominating the game at both ends of the floor in both the semifinals and the finals. He earned this award. I am so proud of him, and I know his teammates feel the same way."

Kerby becomes the third current high school senior slated to join the UTC program in 2018-19, joining guards Donovann Toatley and Maurice Commander, each of whom signed in November. In addition, guard Jerry Johnson sat out last season after transferring from Fairfield and will be eligible at the start of the season, while Ramon Vila, who transferred from Arizona State, will be available to participate in games after the first semester.
