Girls Preparatory School announced Monday that its new diving head coach is Dr. Leo Procise, a McCallie biology teacher and assistant coach for football and track and field. He has been a diving coach at multiple high schools in Indiana, most recently in 2015-16 at Floyd Central, and was an assistant coach at the Indiana International School of Diving, working with divers from beginners to NCAA Division I athletes. The GPS release said Procise would continue his McCallie duties but is delighted to end his two-year break from diving. "I feel incredibly energized knowing that I have another chance to coach a sport that, in my opinion, teaches sportsmanship, grace, failure and success and self-confidence," he said in the release. He ran track and played football in high school and played football at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.
