Wow, what a weekend. It was a crazy Sunday afternoon in Augusta, and here's saying it will be a crazy Monday too, with our TFP golf writer David Uchiyama playing Augusta National today. (Yes, we're very afraid.)
Anyway, hope you followed along some through the weekend and as much fun as we had, we're happy to be home.

Bubba's world

That boy is good. Good and terrible.
And good and terrible was enough for Watson because he was at his best immediately after he was at his most terrible. He called it Bubba Golf; we call it a weekend foursome.
Dude has all the shots and then some. There may be 14 clubs in his back but there are endless possibilities.
It was a fun back nine, and the Masters remains the best golf tournament because that course makes some one go win the dang thing rather than survive it.
And Bubba Golf won it.
Side note: Anyone else notice that Bubba said "Go Dawgs," and then thanked Jesus Christ. Yeah, we didn't either.

Wow, our man Fred edged a crowded leaderboard in the Mastering the Masterful Masters Challenge.
With the points breakdown (10 for first, 7 for second, 5 for third, 4 for fourth and 3 for fifth and 1 for everyone that made the cut), each of the four golfers tied got 3 points.

Braves stink

They are going to go 0-161 (there will be a rain-out in late May and there will be no sense in making it up since the Braves will be eliminated by Flag Day).
Is that over the top enough for you folks?
OK, now that we got that out of the way, let's talk rationally. The Braves were swept by the Mets. That's not good. They are hitting .151 as a team. That's really not good.
But hey, at least they've scored more runs than the Phillies. (Take that Chase Utley.)
Gang, lighten up it's April. We just found all the Easter eggs and some redneck named Bubba emerged from the Georgia pines as a national hero - and he wasn't even carrying a 12-point buck.
This and that
- We'll get into this more as we catch-up on the stuff we missed, but sweet buckets of karma, how about that Bobby Petrino. Somewhere Arthur Blank and Tommy Tuberville are grinning ear-to-ear and are not really sure why.
- Now that the Masters is in the rear-view, we'll start to turn our attention toward the NFL draft. This makes us happy. We love the draft. You know this.
- Everytime we have watched LeBron this season he has played like a man with something to prove. Does that mean he'll win the title? Who knows? But dude is on a mission.
- Kansas superstar Thomas Robinson has declared for the draft. Dude is going to be a force, and this is going to be a super-deep NBA draft.

At least one website was offering $20,000 as soon as it happened. The members at Augusta National dispatched a coupel of green-cloaked fellows over to inquire about the ball.
In the end, the guy gave it back to the club as a gesture according to the club.
