5-at-10: Winston's appearance, Tiger sighting, good teammate and Rushmore of fools

Bring it.

From the "Talks too much" studios, here's hoping you a fine first day of April. Seriously.

Winston's physique

By almost all accounts, former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston figures to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft later this month.

With that lofty status comes much scrutiny.

Now, after Winston showed up at his pro day Tuesday in less than elite physical condition there are questions about his body.

Yes, the photos show a Winston who looks a little doughy around the middle, but is this triathlon or the NFL?

There are a lot of questions around whether Winston can be the face of an NFL franchise, but none of them in our view center on how many crunches he can do.

Tiger's jet

Reports have Tiger Woods' jet parked at the Augusta Regional airport. That sent everyone jumping up and down that it means Woods is going to play the Masters.

And while we like almost everyone else want Tiger to play in the Masters next week - and for what it's worth, we think he will play next week - let's not book this just yet.

It's very plausible that Woods went to Augusta National to see if his game is up to Masters-level performance. It's also plausible that, because of his respect for that tournament, if he was not going to play he would tell Billy Payne and Co. in person before letting everyone else know.

That said, we want him to play.

And that said, we will watch the Masters whether Tiger's in Augusta, Ga., or Augusta, Maine.

Side note: Tiger Woods is outside the world's top 100 for the first time in his pro career. In fact, the last time Woods was outside the top 100, "The Macarena" was the No. 1 song in the land.

Good teammate?

We have debated in this space before about whether superstars should take a pay cut in the NBA or the NFL to help their team get salary cap relief and field a better club.

We can see the logic - especially for the extremely financially set players like a Manning or Brady - but we also think it's a little unfair to put that on a single player that is worth what he can get when the organization certainly is not going to take less profit.

The back-and-forth certainly can be debated.

That said, where does this rank on the "good" teammate scale:

Apparently former Dallas running back DeMarco Murray asked Tony Romo to take a pay cut so Murray could get more money and stay in Dallas. Here's Romo's account of the exchange.

Man, that's strange.

Wonder if he had a guitar case open in his corner of the locker room or if he had a sign that said, "Will run for food."

Maybe he just leaned over in the huddle and said, "Hey mister, can you spare a million?"

This and that

- Apparently Tom Brady's a pretty good golfer, too. Dude beat Keegan Bradley 6 and 5 in a match play round in the Bahamas. Tom Brady is good at life.

- As with all things, the new ESPN.com will take some getting used to. So it goes.

- Mike Napoli is strong. Dude goes yard in this clip while breaking his bat. Egad.

Today's question

We kind of covered it yesterday, but if you have any lasting opinions on Rick Barnes being the new UT hoops coach, fire away.

That said, it's April Fool's Day.

Yep, you guessed it. Rushmore of Fools.

There are no limits. Be creative.

And don't forget the mailbag.
