Weekend winners
While we agree with Mark Wiedmer's column that spring games need tweaking, there are times that spring football represents everything that is right in sports. Think back to the kid that scored a TD in the Nebraska spring game a few years ago, and flash forward to Saturday when Leah Still scored a 50-yard touchdown. Still, a cancer survivor, is the 4-year-old daughter of former Temple star and Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still. Here's the video but know that it may get dusty where you are. You have been warned.
Kurt Busch. After missing time at the beginning of the season for some off-the-track allegations in a messy legal battle with his former girlfriend, Busch found his way back into Victory Lane by dominating at Richmond.
Todd Gurley fans. We have heard about his rise up the draft board, and now there's video of his progress. There's a gentle reminder needed that no matter how much the current trend of devaluing running backs gains steam and makes a ton of sense, there's something special about truly gifted running backs. Wow.
NBA fans (at least for one series) who get the chance to stay up ate enough for the heavyweight clash that is the Clippers-Spurs series. It's tied at 2 and while none of the rest of the first round will likely go beyond seven games, this one has the intensity and talent of a conference final. Good times.
Tennessee spring game. No one was hurt and the weather stayed relatively fine. The TFP had excellent coverage through the weekend.

Weekend losers
The Cleveland Cavaliers swept Boston, which was at least somewhat expected. That said, Kevin Love separated his shoulder and J.R. Smith's flagrant foul leaves two potential starters in limbo for the start of the next series, which likely will be against red-hot Chicago.
Conspiracy theorists who thought Bill Belichick was a robot. At the White House Corrspondents' Dinner, here's Eye-Ball Bill checking out Chrissy Teigen. Also of note, Teigen's boyfriend John Legend tweeted #Spygate about the photo. Well-played indeed Mr. Legend.
Jason Day. Sometimes golf in particular and sports in general can humble everyone. Yes, everyone. Jason Day is one of the 10 best golfers in the world. Here, he hits a shot that hits a tree and ends up at his feet. Spalding, get your foot off the boat.
Your Atlanta Braves. Oy vey. The Braves have lost five of six and are at .500 (maybe for the last time this season). They head to Washington and tonight will hand the ball to Eric Stolts, who was great in "Mask" and "Pulp Fiction." What? That's Eric Stultz? Oh nevermind.

Contests
OK, we're starting a busy week here, that will be crazy near the end.
For the first time in the 5-at-10 history, we are hosting two contests at the same time.
In the almost five full years we've been doing this, we have always done contests for the Masters, the draft, the Kentucky Derby and the college football bowl season.
So we can't help that two of those come within 48 hours of each other this week.
So here's the deal, enter each - don't cost nothin' - and enter quickly. The draft contest tie-breaker is order of entry, which makes it a risk-reward type of thing.
Details are as follows:
Feeling the Draft while drinking a Draught Draft Contest (Each correct guess is worth 1 point)
Who is the Titans' first pick (if they pick Marcus Mariota and then trade him, he would technically be the first pick; if they trade the pick and someone else picks him, well, that's different)?
Who is the Falcons' first pick?
How many SEC players go in round one?
Where is Todd Gurley picked
Which round does former UTC player Davis Tull get picked?
As for the Derby, here's the First In/Last in Derby Day (last-place finisher is worth 2 points, winner worth 1 point; if needed we'll have a tie-breaker after the fact).
Whatcha got?

This and that
- Golf trick shots like this are amazing to us. Enjoy.
- Wow, A-Rod's alive. Who knew? Dude homered in the Yanks' win Sunday and has 659 for his career. Yes, that's one behind the great WIllie Mays. Here's video proof.
- Man, last night was an excellent "Game of Thrones." We will not discuss now because of spoilers and some folks may not be caught up, but man, we are just three episodes into the season, and this is going to be awesome in its awesomeness.

Today's question
We are partial to anniversaries and birthdays on this day. A quick moment of silence since it was four years ago today that the tornados devastated our area and throughout Alabama.
Thanks.
We'll go with two questions today.
First, with the potential season-ending injury to Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright, there is growing chatter about adding the DH to the National League. We do not see the connection - athletes get injured, period; whether pitchers hit or not would not greatly change that no matter how Wainwright was injured - but can see the question. In a post-PED age when the game needs more runs, a DH would, while removing some strategy, generate more offense. Discuss.
Secondly, Herman Edwards turns 61 today. Happy birthday. He's an entertaining ESPN personality, something that can not be said about all former head coaches - we're looking at you Ditka, and you too, Bobby Knight. So who's on your Rushmore of former head coaches/turned announcers?
Go and remember the contests and the mailbag.
